This Brotha Right Here!

Governor of Illnois Goes On A Politicin Crime Spree!

Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested on corruption charges. Blagojevich was trying to sell or trade the U.S. Senate seat left by President-elect Barack Obama. The corrupt Illinois governor also tried his hand in extortion, threatening to withhold state assistance to the Tribune Company in the sale of Wrigley Field unless they fired Chicago Tribune editorial board members who were critical of him. Rod Blagojevich's schemes were revealed when federal investigators bugged the governor's campaign offices and wiretapped his home phone. Rod Blagojevich was previously already the target of negative publicity and corruption charges. The Illinois governor is also accused of hiring fraud and of taking kickbacks from companies that do business with the state.

Rod Blagojevich learned nothing from his governor predecessor George Ryan, who was convicted of corruption charges that ended his career. Incredulously, Blago considered taking the Senate seat for himself to pad his resume for a 2016 presidential run. Too bad he has an approval rating that makes George Bush look like George Washington: a pathetic 4%.
