PRIMETIME MICHELLE DELIVERS AN IMPASSIONED SPEECH TO THE DNC
Guest Blogger: Zakeisha Nicole

Isn't she lovely? Isn't she wonderful?

What a fitting song to play at the end of Michelle Obama's magnificent speech tonight at the DNC. And I have to say, I was in tears before she even opened her mouth.

What a poised vision of beauty and strength--grace and honor. This woman has truly showed America just who she is. And I hoped they liked what they saw, I know I did.

I mean I've seen her speak before and I've met her on the rope line and I've always been pleased. But tonight was something different, I saw her as more than a part of the Obama team; the main part no doubt. Tonight I saw Michelle separate from her husband.

There she was, stunning in green. And I saw me.
There she was, Intelligent and honest. And I saw me.
There she was beautiful and brown. And I saw me.
There she was, wowing the crowd. And I saw me.

There she was mothering her children and caring for the world. And I saw me.

Michelle wasn't acting or modeling or reporting or entertaining. Michelle, from the South Side, was educating society and I don't think that I've seen that before--not in this kind of package....not like this.

I saw me again and again on that stage in Denver tonight. I saw my children. I saw my future.

And yours too.

Congratulations Michelle Obama!
Congratuations America!
