Fragile and Reversible McCain--Remember That?

Photobucket
Let's talk about John McCain. He can be kind of charming until you review the facts. Charming as a garden (of biblical proportions) snake.

Today.... he said once again, that we are winning in Iraq and now we can begin to focus on Afghanistan.

Sorry McCain, Barack has always stated that Afghanistan should have been the #1 focus.

What exactly have we won Mr. McCain? I hope you're not counting dead bodies in the win column and I don't care how many insurgents or terrorist were killed. If one of them were'nt Bin laden...ya lost.

These are the facts:

The Iraqi parliment is saying that our presence has destroyed their country. They are sorry they ever met us. Additionaly, I will remind you good Senator that General Petraeus stated just 3 (short) months ago that the conditions on the ground are.... fragile and reversible...
and that we should wait 45 days before we can make an assesment if the surge has worked or not. So sir, according to the sources on the ground as you have said is the proper way to assess, we must wait until way into the month of October.

I know the American public, we have a short memory and apparently John McCain does too, but thank God, Youtube and bloggers have solved that problem. Do your due dilligence folks...don't just listen to the news, you know they have ADHD.

So although you sounded all cute at the NAACP event today and they gave you much more respect than you deserved-- (becaue they're mostly christians and that's what christians do - - your ears will be burning later though...trust and believe).

Here's what I learned today, which is the same thing I learned back in April when Gen. Petraeus testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee:

According to you and the Bush republicans...
a stable Iraq is the WIN indicator. Even though the true life facts are...our economy is in the toilet, higher unemployment rates, gas prices continue to skyrocket, banks teeter on closing their doors, folks are losing their homes at a rapid rate and the education of American children and our American future continue to not even be on the back burner!

But alas, we can sit comfortably and proud to know that Iraq is well on its way to becoming everything America should be....according to your WINNING definition.

Please note readers: I have taken liberal freedom in my post here today. Although i'm not at all far off from the truth...my posts are clearly to 1) to engage dialouge and 2) to counter what's going on in right-wing talk radio across America...I'm nice! I'm polite? but its only because I wish to continue to kiss my mom and dad and praise the Lord with this mouth so some things I just can't and won't say.

I could backslide any minute though.

Please leave your comments. I want to know how you feel out there.

Comments on Today's Speeches

On Obama:
Barack once again laid out the plan for Iraq and even detailed future military plans. Because Bush veired America off the trail of Osama bin Laden, Barack has to now utilize his voice to steer America back on course, back on target. He has never changed his stance on Iraq.

He reiterated that America went after the wrong enemy and thereby missed the target terribly. As you recall Barack has always said that he is not against war, but a dumb war, one that does not attack the necessary targets to protect the U.S. from future terrorist attacks.

I thought Barack was concise and clear on his goal to end the war in Iraq and refocus on Afghanistan. (although I have reservations with that considering the state the war has put our military and resources in)

And BTW to Bush.... the generals on the ground have to follow your warped lead or else, so of course their responses are tailored to your desires! Barack is running for President so we can now free ourselves from your wreckless leadership.
(the following photo is just satire)

On McCain:
Where do I begin. First of all McCain has pushed Bush out of the driver's seat on Iraqi dillusion and is steadfastly determined to drive the bus even further into the ground.

He was a POW (Prisoner of War) and his experience was defined as a prisoner of war...and so now his wish is to keep America
a prisoner of war.

We all know what Bush's decisions and McCain's proposals will bring: No peace No prosperity, economy will continue to struggle.

McCain says our time in Iraq has shown us how to deal with Iran. Which really just shows we went all around the mulberry bush at the expense of the nation, our nation weakend, militarily and economically.

What is sad is that these "bright" conservative minds led us into a disastrous situation...while "We the People" begged them not to. No one wants the office of the President to look stupid and confess to that, but to show leadership by letting the American people know that our focus is changing now and is necessary to defeat Al queda and Bin Laden.

Our military went into battle against the wrong target because the Commander-in- Chief led us their....that was the order. Military must follow orders. They were lead so wrongly that they could not make a decision to even suggest that we change the course...hell, let's be honest they did not know what they were trying to accomplish. We went from WOMD, oops none, to, get Sadaam, he's evil, while we're here get him(not Bin Laden!), to, drive the bus further into the ground, get entrenched in Iraqi governmental issues, (lose focus completely), introduce the Iraqi people to democracy. What! did that have to do with 911, Bin Laden and Al queda?

Now Iraq has asked us to please leave. McCain knows nothing about winning wars and everthing about being a Prisoner of War.

Hillary Clinton Urges Teacher's Union to Elect Barack Obama In The General Election

July 12, 2008
FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS:
Hillary Rodham Clinton urged thousands of teachers gathered in Chicago today to elect Illinois Sen. Barack Obama president, calling George W. Bush’s time in office an “aberration.

The New York senator and former Obama rival spoke at the American Federation of Teachers’ national convention, held at Navy Pier.

The AFT is expected to endorse Obama Sunday.

Clinton took frequent jabs at the Bush administration.

“The Republicans should hold a press conference tomorrow and apologize to the country and say they’re just not going to run anybody for president,” Clinton said, drawing a standing ovation. “I somehow don’t think that’s going to happen. That means we got to win it.

Clinton said that although she respects presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain for his service to the country, “he will offer four more years of the same failed policies from the economy to health care to Iraq and beyond.

FORMER WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN TONY SNOW DIES OF CANCER AT 53

This was a gifted journalist/spokesman and was one of the only Jr. Bush spokespersons I could actually listen to. He stayed on message, but there was always a tinge of reality to the message in that you could tell he was delivering the message while not so much agreeing with the message. He did his job well.

Peace & Blessings to your family Mr. Snow.
