Rachael Ray gets flack from consumers because of poor judgement and a very bad stylist. I guess more than a few people were offended because she just got fired from her Dunkin Donuts Job! IN HONOR OF OUR MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN LOST IN THE WAR

"When The Good Perish"
by
Carolyn Johnson-Essex

To all those who have died unjustly
May you rest in peace

For it is Written
The righteous perish,
and no man takes it to heart;

men, women and even children
are taken away,
while no one considers,
the the good are taken
away from evil...

into safety, into peace...
into the heavenlies

Bless the families that have lost
loved ones unjustly...
Their lives are worthy of honor
in every nation...

We mix our tears with yours,
for if you are hurt today and beyond
so are we...

You are not forgotten and neither are
your loved ones who were taken away

SOUTH CAROLINA REP. JAMES CLYBURN UNDECLARED SUPERDELEGATE

(Rep. Clyburn in center of photo)
From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
National Journal’s Linda Douglass sat for an interview with undeclared South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn. He says a couple of interesting things: (a) If Clinton believes Obama will do poorly with white voters in November, based on how he has done in the primaries, does that mean she believes she will only get 8% of the black vote in November, based on how she’s doing now?; And (b) He makes it very clear that any perceived backroom deal had better not take the nomination away from Obama, because that would devastate young people and blacks. He speaks rather emotionally about his daughter and grandson’s support for Obama.

I think that we have to be very, very careful with all of this. And I really believe that this is the kind of stuff that I had been talking about with tamping down the enthusiasm of young people, because scores and scores of non-black young people have gotten involved in this campaign this year. They are very excited about Barack Obama, for whatever reason. A lot of it, nobody can really fathom, but it's happened. And I think we would do well, as Democrats, to welcome the support, welcome the reactivation of African-Americans, welcome the re-involvement of young, White Americans, welcome all of these people into our fold and give them some positive messages to carry forward and not keep talking about what may or may not be the other person's drawbacks. …

Michelle Obama Campaigns for Her Husband in Jefferson Indiana Before Returning to N.C.

Michelle Obama, who took time out after her working women’s roundtable discussion at A Kids World Center in Jeffersonville to read to the children.

As she read, the children would chime in with random comments.

“Ms. Obama! Look, I have a boo-boo!”

“Ms. Obama! I have an iguana!”

“Ms. Obama! I have a cat!”

She smiled at each remark and asked a follow-up question, before returning to the book.

After finishing the first one, she switched to the next.

“‘I’m going to like me for me,’” Obama said, reading the title aloud to the students. “Do you all like yourselves?”

All raised their hands and many spoke out saying, “I like me!”

Both Indiana and North Carolina will vote on next Tuesday, May 6.

ANOTHER SUPER DELEGATE FOR BARACK

Former DNC Chair Paul G. Kirk, Jr. Endorses Obama
By Sam Graham-Felsen - May 2nd, 2008 at 9:14 am EDT

Chicago, IL – Today, Former Democratic National Committee Chair and Massachusetts supderdelegate Paul G. Kirk, Jr. endorsed Barack Obama.
The endorsement brings the total number of superdelegates to endorse Barack Obama to 253. Senator Obama is 279 delegates away from securing the Democratic nomination.

His statement is below:

“It is with a great sense of pride and confidence in his leadership that I am delighted to publicly endorse Senator Barack Obama and pledge my support to him as former National Democratic Chairman and as a superdelegate. Senator Obama is the one candidate who has and will continue to expand the electorate beyond the traditional Democratic party base and bring young and new and Independent voters to the Democratic banner in November, an essential ingredient to a Democratic victory.

“Throughout his life and public career, has fought the tough fights to advance the quality of life of the working families of Illinois, not with election year gimmicks like the gas tax holiday espoused by others, but by hard headed, common sense solutions, and that’s what he will do as President of the United States.

“America never turns back. America always marches forward to seize the future....

“Senator Obama is the one candidate best able to quickly restore America’s respect and reputation globally. Senator Obama is the one candidate best able to set the tone at the top for the unity and reconciliation needed in this country, to bring us together, to define our common goals and to provide the inspiration to move us forward.

“After the attention paid to the poisonous and polarizing diatribe of recent days, Senator Obama’s clear and compelling message which appeals to our best instincts as Americans is more important than ever. For all these reasons, I heartily endorse Senator Obama and hope my colleagues will do the same.”
